The Bestseller Code is intriguing and full of good advice for novelists. The book itself is written like a couple of academians seeking to fulfill a publishing requirement. Most of all they don't seem to get it that their code/process could be used to charge writers to submit their current book to be analyzed and critiqued. Jodie Archer and Matthew L. Jockers' The Bestseller Code: Anatomy of the Blockbuster Novel is a big idea book that explains their text-mining research through a groundbreaking look at the New York Times bestseller list.
